Description

Our ZZP 1.4T upgraded timing chain kit includes key components needed to service your timing chain system while including our upgraded components to ensure worry free reliability and increased performance. We include our upgraded ZZP timing chain guide and ZZP tensioner guide to replace the stock plastic guides. 

While the stock timing guides are adequate for stock power levels, you run into some issues as these cars age and you look to make more power and increase the rev limit. Our ZZP guide is made of a slicker material which results in less noise overall from the timing system, as well as less friction on the chain. We also increased thickness and in key areas to achieve an overall stiffer product that is less prone to any sort of deflection. Our material is much stronger than the stock plastic and will not get brittle over time; on our test applications you could still see the machining marks and no wear after 10k plus miles.

• Note: You will also need cam new cam phaser bolts (found here) while doing a timing job on these engines as they are TTY. 

  Fits: 2011-2016.5 Chevrolet Cruze 1.4T, 2012-2020 Chevrolet Sonic 1.4T, 2013-2021 Buick Encore 1.4T, 2015-2021 Chevrolet Trax 1.4T. Does not fit LE2 direct injected engine found in the second generation Cruze or some late model Trax Encore.
